How monitor billing works
The free baseline, paying only for new listings, and what happens at zero credits.
Monitors are billed the same fair way as the rest of SiseTech: you pay for results, never for empty checks. Here's exactly how it works.
The free baseline
The very first time a monitor runs, it records everything currently listed as a free baseline. Those listings show up in your feed, but you are not charged for them — you only ever pay for listings that appear after you start watching.
Pay per new listing
On every poll after the baseline, the monitor de-duplicates against what it has already seen and charges only for the new listings, at each listing's agent rate. A poll that finds nothing new is completely free.
You can never overdraw
- Each poll only charges as many new listings as your balance can fully cover (newest first). Anything it can't afford is left unseen and resurfaces after you top up.
- When your balance can't cover the next new listing, the monitor auto-pauses (status: "Out of credits") instead of going negative.
- Top up, then resume the session and it picks up where it left off.
Keeping costs predictable
- Lower the "listings checked per poll" cap to reduce how much each poll can charge.
- A longer interval polls less often.
- Watch the per-session activity on the dashboard — it shows listings collected and the last poll's found/new counts.
